The event is based around a treasure hunt seeking clues and undertaking challenges all based around the delights of sampling fine wines – a very tough task!

The contestants were put into teams and each allocated a taxi to take them to various locations to seek out, sample and identify many different wines. Could they tell raspberries from vanilla or gooseberries from blackcurrants, what food would they eat with which wine and would they be standing at the end of the day! They visited many fascinating hostelries and venues before heading for the final destination, which was surprise, surprise – not a coffee bar but another bar/restaurant in the heart of St James’s.

After the awarding of prizes for the successful teams, who had obviously made the best of a very hard afternoons work, a hearty meal was enjoyed and many put to good use all the knowledge they had gained - at least early on in the evening! All in all the teams were good sports and entered into the spirit of the event to say the least.
