| The client brought his
team to London and required a hotel with conference
room for a morning meeting highlighting future strategy.
The afternoon was devoted to a treasure hunt based around
the west end. The event manager was instructed to give
all instructions in English but was able as necessary
to assist with French translation.
The event was carefully structured to avoid the use
of colloquial phrases and the event involved teams working
together solving written and photographic clues as well
as undertaking other challenges whilst out on the route.
The event manager was on hand at all times to provide
teams with additional support but this proved unnecessary
as the group performed well interacting brilliantly
amongst themselves and with other people.
Teams returned to the hotel at the conclusion of the
event where the results were calculated and a prize
giving held.
The comments from members of the group proved the success
of the concept. Some had been nervous before the start
at the prospect of undertaking the challenge in what
was for them a foreign language but had been surprised
and delighted by the way they had achieved great results.
The HR director was equally happy with the enormous
boost in confidence that had been given to their language
skills as well as the evident team building benefits.
