| The client required
a staff day out which was also used as a fund raising
event for the company’s dedicated charity.
The starting point was a large bar with a private area
where drinks were served before the group was divided
into teams of four to six, for the treasure hunt. With
the volume of people, a circular route was planned and
the start times staggered to avoid congestion on the
course.
The treasure hunt took the teams on an exploration of
the historic areas around Tower Bridge, the Tower of
London and St Katherine’s Dock. The event consisted
of four set tasks for each team, cryptic clues, photographic
clues, paparazzi and scavenger challenge. Teams allocated
set tasks to individual members whilst remaining together
as a group at all times. After an introduction and briefing,
the teams gradually set out on the course in a vibrant
mood.
The event concluded with the return of all the teams
to the same bar where a well-earned hot buffet was served
before the results and prize giving. There was an additional
presentation to a representative of the charity who
received a considerable amount of money, which had been
raised from the group on the day making not only a great
fun day out but also a resounding success for the charity
