| The group was collected from their
head office outside London and taken in coaches to the
start of the treasure hunt in the West End of London.
The teams had been pre-selected and had organised team
tee shirts and fun logos for the day.
Lunch hampers were provided on board after which the
teams were given a briefing for the treasure hunt. The
event took the teams on an exploration of London’s
vibrant West End seeking to solve cryptic and photographic
clues whilst undertaking photography and collection
challenges requiring teams to stay together but delegating
specific tasks to individuals. There was a spirit of
keen competition between the groups and a lot of laughter
along the way.
The finish point for the hunt was a privately hired
boat awaiting them at the Embankment Pier, which would
take them on an evening cruise on the Thames from Chelsea
down as far as the Thames barrier and back. A barbecue
was served washed down with plenty of drinks from the
bar adding to the high spirits of the group. This was
followed by the announcement of the results of the treasure
hunt and prize giving which was undertaken amidst much
noise and laughter.
The rest of the evening was free for the group to enjoy
the sights of London at night and a disco which saw
some very interesting dance moves. At the end of the
cruise, teams rejoined their coaches for the return
journey home. The Managing Director declared that this
had been the best away day that they had ever had.
